This morning’s breaking news: SpongeBob SquarePants is gay and lives under the ocean on a pineapple. At least that’s the impression from this CNN article. Choice quote:

“The makers — the nonprofit We Are Family Foundation — say the video is designed to encourage tolerance and diversity. But at least two Christian activist groups say the innocent cartoon characters are being exploited to promote the acceptance of homosexuality. “A short step beneath the surface reveals that one of the differences being celebrated is homosexuality,” wrote Ed Vitagliano in an article for the American Family Association.”

  6. Why is u going to get bugs bunny off the air you would have to put off the air all cartoon characters that was on the bugs bunny show. B/c if it was’t for bugs bunny they would have no reason to have a show. He brings out the laughs in the cartoons. Ya’ll might just be jealous of a cartoon character. In the eposoide when they had that clam shell as a baby when the clam got older and flew away patrick said let’s have another one and spongebob looked at him like he was crazy so patrick is gay not spongebob so get the facts straight.spongebob may act gay but it’s just to be funny to the children most children think it is fuuny.   8. The character squidword or squidworth, however it is pronounced, has a head that looks like a male’s testicles (the top of his head)and his nose like a phallus. Take a picture of his head and hold it upside down and you will see this clearly. They are placing subliminal pictures and messages in our children’s mind and just because they are doing it in cartoon form does not make it innocent. They also had one episode where spongebob and patrick were portrayed as a married couple taking care of a baby. What do you think they are trying to promote?

  16. I’d just like to say Spongebob is gay, because I met him at a signing, and later on round in the back alleyway he took advantage of me, but it’s ok I kinda liked it.

    Of course, everyone said it wasn’t really Spongebob, but some gay man in a Spongebob suit, but what would you rather remember? A wonderful time of intimacy with a well loved character, or some filthy camelion who wears disguises to lure his victims?
